Cybersecurity Awareness activity for Primary School Students at Archangelos Multipurpose Center
The activity targeted elementarty school students, who participated in an interactive learning program tailored to their age group. During the session, the children had the opportunity tο:
- Learn how to navigate the internet safely,
- Understand the importance of protecting their personal data,
- Identify common cyber threats such as phishing and inappropriate content.
Additionally, the children were informed about the online game HackShield, which is designed to educate children aged 8 to 11 on cybersecurity topics in a fun and engaging way. Through the game, children take on the role of “Cyber Agents,” learning how to protect themselves and others from online threats.
The children also had the opportunity to use Virtual Reality (VR) headsets and engage in an immersive educational experience focused on online safety. Through this activity, they learned about the risks associated with internet use, strengthened their online safety awareness, fostered responsible digital behaviour, and developed the skills needed to recognise and avoid harmful situations in the digital environment.
This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts by the Digital Security Authority to promote awareness of internet safety from a young age.
