On the 4-6 of September 2024 the 33rd Economic Forum, entitled “A Time for New Leaders: Shaping the Future Together,” brought together more than 6,000 participants from around the world, who engaged in some 350 debates and meetings dedicated to discussing the challenges facing the modern world.

Participation in the 33rd Economic Forum “ A Time for New Leaders: Shaping the Future Together”, Karpacz, Poland.
The topics focused on key issues in politics, business, digitization, and science, with an emphasis on sustainability. Additionally, one of the major topics of this conference was the AI Forum, organised in collaboration with the Polish Ministry of Digital Affairs and the largest universities in Poland which addressed the critical issues related to the impact of Artificial Intelligence on the ongoing revolution in society both in the public and commercial sectors. Discussions covered the challenges and problems the market will face due to the fundamental technological change brought by AI.
Within the framework of the Forum the Commissioner of Communications, Mr. George Michaelides represented the Republic of Cyprus by participating in both the Cybersecurity and Economic Forum.
Mr. Michaelides attended a panel discussion, titled “Fincancial Support to third Parties – Lessons Learned and gave a presentation regarding NCC-CY's FSTP scheme and providing tips for other NCCs followed by Q&A.
