The NCC-CY successfully held an online information event on July 18, 2024, entitled “New Funding Calls for Cybersecurity” under the Digital Europe programme, with a total budget of €102 million. The keynote speaker was Ms. Felicia Cutas, Programme Officer at the European Centre of Excellence for Cybersecurity (ECCC), and the event was coordinated by Mr. Polys Peratikos, Head of the National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre (NCC-CY).

Successfully completed the Online Info Day, New Funding Calls for Cybersecurity under the Digital Europe programme
The event aimed to raise awareness among participants about the new European funding calls for cybersecurity development activities. These new calls cover funding for Security Operations Centers (SOCs), advanced key technologies, preparedness and mutual assistance for large industrial operations and installations, as well as the implementation of EU legislation and national strategies for cybersecurity. Additionally, the event provided guidance on best practices for writing successful funding proposals, enhancing cybersecurity at both national and European levels.
The event was attended by 63 representatives from the academic, public, and private sectors.
The NCC-CY extends its sincere appreciation to all participants for their presence and contributions and remains committed to continuing efforts to strengthen cybersecurity in Cyprus and across Europe.
