Training in Cybersecurity
During the first day, participants covered the fundamental themes of cybersecurity, key concepts and principles of Information Security, the growing importance of digital protection in everyday life, as well as hands-on topics such as effective password management, recognising phishing attempts, and identifying malware threats.
The second day shifted the focus to more advanced and emerging issues. Participants explored safe internet practices, the security of wireless networks and mobile devices, developments in artificial intelligence, social engineering techniques, and broader aspects of digital safety. The programme also provided an overview of the European cybersecurity regulatory framework (GDPR, NIS2, DORA, Cybersecurity Act), and concluded with practical awareness raising strategies designed for diverse audiences, including primary and secondary school students, parents and individuals aged 65+.
Training for the NCC-CY team, as well as for staff from across the Digital Security Authority, will continue with topics addressing modern cyber threats, evolving technologies and best security practices, supporting their ongoing professional development and ensuring they remain well-prepared to meet new digital challenges.
